Help Needed at Poteet Game

Once again, we are calling on boosters' help. For the Poteet game, we will need help unloading ice chests before the football game begin.  In addition, as you know, usually for out-of town games the band will receive a meal right after half time.  We need boosters to help distribute meals and help with clean up.  We appreciate all you do for MPB.  Thank you.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Escamilla at 876-8427 or Ms. Oyervides
at 255-0436.

Boosters Help at Homecoming Concession

As always, MPB Boosters were on hand to help support the MPB by sponsoring the Homecoming concession stand.  It was a great effort by all.  Mr. Escamilla said, " I was so pleasantly amazed at how efficient everyone worked at the concession stand.  Besides feeding the fans, the MPB also prepared meals for 110 Warhorse Band members.  The MPB parents really outdid themselves."

Thanks goes out to all MPB parents for all their help,  Sheriff Marion Boyd and Department for providing extra ice,  and Mr. Margarito Ayala of Margiebar's BBQ and Catering for cooking all the burgers.  Thanks to everyone who keeps supporting our MPB!

Congratulations MPB on # 28 In a Row!

For the 28th time in a row, the MPB has achieved a first division rating at the prestigious Region XI Marching Contest, which takes place annually in Hondo.  The MPB marched loud and proud to the music of this year's program titled ANCESTROS by Humberto Sanchez.  This program features different elements and genres which shows off the versatility of the MPB.  Once again, the MPB showed that the hard work and dedication of its members and its directors make the MPB among the best bands in the region.

"Sometimes we take it for granted and forget how difficult it is for a band to continue to achieve such success year after year," commented an onlooker.  "However, it is evident that the MPB and its directors have taken on the challenge of being the best and staying the best."

Congratulations to the MPB and its directors, Mr. Leopoldo Garza, Mr. Sigifredo Sanchez, Mr. Adolfo Guzman, and Ms. Lura Stevens for keeping the winning tradition alive and well.
